Support is offered for a student to attend a minimum of one American Statistical Association (ASA) meeting or conference between July 1, 2021 and June 30th, 2022. A full list of eligible events may be found at the ASA website, www.amstat.org, and selecting "MEETINGS".

Applications must contain a letter of support either by a current member of the WSS or a faculty advisor, a copy of their transcripts, an essay, and a completed application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to plan to present a paper or poster at one or more eligible events. Applications for the WSS student travel award are due no later than January 8, 2021.

One award will be granted to a student attending a school in the local metro DC area. The award includes $800 plus early-bird student conference registration to one ASA meeting or conference, and a one-year student membership to the WSS.

The winner is required to attend meeting or conference sessions at the event of their choice.
